With the new carving skis things have changed somewhat from traditional sizing methods. Traditional Skis: Up to 6 years old ideally should be sized at 15 centimetres below head height. From 6 – 10 years old skis should be approximately head height. It is better to buy for your child’s ability, height, etc for the current season. This might be the expensive option, but it will help minimise the risk of injury and your child not being able to control their skis well enough if they are too long.
