Part 1: December is for Dying By Mac McKinney We just saw Osama bin Laden pop up around the 6th annual commemorative days of 9/11 to pour new salt into our collective American wounds, to let us know that he is alive and kicking and ready to continue the Jihad, ready to terrorize us again, as Homeland Security officials keep reminding us. And it is only “a matter of time” before the next attack occurs. If this didn’t pump new life into the somewhat stale, creaky and extremely expensive War on Terror, nothing will. Nothing like a new jolt of fear and a fresh paroxysm of anger to energize support for the defenders of Western Civilization, which has, as long as I can recall, having been raised in the 1950s, been continuously under threat from some vast evil or other that is just on the verge of exterminating us.
