How did states rights supporters and native americans feel about Andrew Jackson?

0

Andrew Jackson defied the Supreme Court order to leave the sovereign Cherokee alone in their native homeland in the Southeast. He not only ignored this, he stated publicly that “they (the Supreme Court) have made their decision, now let them enforce it” If a sitting President ignores Supreme Court Justice John Marshall, what would any legitimate individual of any origin feel about him – that he was dangerous to the republic and did not support the process of democracy put in place by the Constitution. If a President does not support the Constitution of the United States, he is violating the oath of office.
