The Petreus Report was the last competent count of Iraqi civilian deaths, placing the number around 80,000 from 2003-2006. That number is a little inflated because it includes ALL causes of death except by natural causes (meaning it includes things like car accidents). About 75% of that number can be accounted for by terrorists killing Iraqis, and about 30% of that number is dead Iraqi police and Iraqi army. At that time, they put the number at around 600,000. This is probably the most embarrassing (and well-publicized) mis-use of an opinion poll I’ve ever seen. Undeniable facts: There were no Weapons of Mass Destruction. Iraq was a beaten country and represented no threat whatsoever to the region. There we no terrorists in Iraq, absolutely none. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Not a single Iraqi was involved in any way, shape, or form with 9/11. It was almost all Saudi Arabians. Tens of thousands of Iraqis have died violently since we rolled across the border, many, many, many of them women and children under twelve. Except for the 4000 US troops, it’s impossible to get an accurate number. A good estimate would be around 120,000.
