Is dyed hair suitable for donation?
Yes. If the hair is in good condition, the dye does not matter. Can I donate dreadlocks to the project? Answer: At the moment we do not have a demand for this type of hair, so it is unsuitable for donation. Can hair from an upshering be donated? Answer: We are always delighted to accept such special hair, as long as it is a minimum of 25cm long. Is white or grey hair suitable for donation? Answer: If the white or grey strands are the minority of the hair, we are happy to accept it. However if the hair is completely white or grey then at the moment we are unable to use it. What about hair that was cut in a ponytail rather than a braid? Answer: If the hair has just been cut, you can fix a rubber band every 2-3cm along the whole ponytail, and this has the same effect as braiding it.
