What is Rok Skool?
ROK SKOOL is one of the South East’s leading performance-based rock music programmes, offering band sessions and lessons for children aged 8-17 years old. ROK SKOOL is not a traditional music school. Our primary objective is to get young kids playing music as quickly as possible so that they can join one of the ROK SKOOL bands, participate in the live ROK SKOOL concerts held two times a year and benefit from the positive learning and developmental aspects that those experiences provide. And have fun! Our goal is to generate enthusiasm and passion for music amongst our students so that over time they develop solid musical foundations along with the desire and will to pursue their musical ambitions, whatever those ambitions may be! We do not offer traditional music education. We utilise carefully selected interpretations of rock and pop songs as teaching tools to keep kids interested but also to ensure specific technical and performance skills are taught and learned.
