Sioux Lookout is centrally located in the Sunset Country Region. The town is located at the end of Highway 72, just northeast of Dryden, Ontario. If you are driving from the U.S., you can either take the International Falls/Fort Frances border crossing or cross at Pigeon River. If you go through the International Falls/Fort Frances border, go east from Fort Frances on Highway 11 for approximately 30 km (18 miles), then head north on Highway 502. When you reach Highway 17, turn right onto Highway 17 and go east to Dinorwic and turn north on Highway 72 to Sioux Lookout. If you are crossing at Pigeon River, go north to Thunder Bay, then take Highway 17 west to Dinorwic. At Dinorwic, go north (right) on Highway 72 to Sioux Lookout.
