How Do You Bathe A Russian Tortoise?
• Fill a litter pan or small container with water up to the part where the two sections of the tortoises shell meets. • Soak your tortoise for about ten minutes. • If your tortoise isn’t afraid of the water you can let him walk in it. • You can use a soft bristled nail brush to gently scrub the shell. • Check your tortoise’s mouth for any left over food and clean that too. • Take a towel and wipe his legs and arms. • Make sure that when he goes in and out of his shell you don’t hear water still in the fold of skin in his shell. • If there is wipe that dry too. • Make sure your tortoise is completely dry before putting him back in his enclosure. Make sure you use warm water too comfort the Tortoise and NEVER use soap too bathe a Tortoise.
