Are Andros models considered pangas?
That’s a tough one… We hired a yacht design team with the idea of designing an Americanized panga but ended up with something better. The concept of a panga is incredible when talking about ride, efficiency and versatility in flats and offshore fishing. The style along with lack of features, balance and new motor technology doesn’t work in panga designs. To make it simple our team borrowed from the panga idea, modernized it, balanced it, added the necessary comforts and made it easy and affordable for us to build. This new concept and design is slightly different. Andros models are faster, run better in chop, handle better in turns and are dryer and softer. We offer a far better boat with more features standard at a competitive price. It’s what started out with the idea of a panga and now is a custom hybrid.
