Where is Canisius College located?
Canisius College (pronounced /kəˈniːʃəs/) is a private Catholic college in the Delaware Park district of north-central Buffalo, New York. It was founded in 1870 by members of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and is named for St. Peter Canisius. As of 2008, Canisius has 3,346 undergraduates and 1,570 graduate students. The 58-acre (230,000 m2) campus houses 37 buildings. The school is one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities.[1] Canisius College consists of the College of Arts and Sciences, the Wehle School of Business, and the School of Education and Human Services. In the fall of 2007, the college announced plans to raise $90 million by the year 2010 for capital improvements and to enhance the college’s endowment.
