What are the Passions of Christ?
When people talk of the passions of Jesus Christ, they are referring to the specific events that led up to his resurrection. “Passion” is not used in the modern form of being overwhelmed with love or excitement. Instead, “passion” means great suffering. It is during these times that Christians learn some of the most important quotations of Jesus Christ.
