You can ask the receptionist to book you a long appointment. If your surgery doesn’t do this ring around and ask other practises what their policy is. It’s easy to change. Most doctors are fine, you can get excellent and indifferent in both the NHS and the private sector – and you will be paying out of your pocket for a private consultation and for any drugs prescribed by him. If you get on ok with your present GP or one of his Partners ask for a referral to a Consultant or at least for a second opinion. Think in advance, or write down what your concerns are.
