How is the CMPT scored?
The CMPT consists of 50 multiple choice questions—25 on college algebra and 25 on precalculus. Your raw score is calculated as the number of correct answers minus ¼ of the number of incorrect answers. Questions left blank do not count in your score. The raw score is converted to a single integer between 1 and 6 inclusive with 6 being the highest score. The conversion is based on past scores that best predict the success of Clemson students in the associated courses.
