A penile implant uses inflatable or malleable devices which are implanted surgically in a peniss erection chambers. This kind of implant makes the penis semi-rigid and it only needs to be adjusted or lifted to an erect position to engage in sex. How Does A Penile Implant Work? An inflatable penile implant is made up of two cylinders: a pump and a reservoir which are inserted in the penis. The pump is placed between the testicles, under the loose skin and is connected to the reservoir of fluid which is placed below the groin muscles. The pump has to be pressed to inflate the implant. When this is done, the pump moves the fluid to the cylinders located in the penis from the reservoir.
