Do babies really need lotion?

0

I don’t think they need lotion at all, personally. We were told by the midwives not to use any baby lotions/shampoos, etc., on our baby for the first 6 months because their skin was too sensitive even for the mildest of lotions and potions. We were very obedient and didn’t do it and now that our baby’s almost a year old, I guess we’re just out of the way of it. Our son’s skin seems fine and not dry. We got some special cream from the doctor in the very early days when he got some dry patches on his elbows and behind his knees but that was a medical thing. I think a lot of places just want to sell you more ‘stuff’ for your baby.
