How does oil spill effect water?
oil is im-miscible in water and floats over water, and thus it creates a layer over water thus screening the sunlight reaching the water body,as the sunlight reduces the autotrophs reduce the food production and thus the aquatic animals die……………..more over this the oil forms a layer on the wings of the aquatic birds by reaching it when they interact with the oil spilled water and thus making them difficult to fly……………the oil also forms layer over the fish and when humans consume it, it is transferred to our body…….fatefully now biotechnology has given relief for it;a new mutated microbe which eats up all the oil spilled in oceans(normally) has been discovered……………
