Why does honesty bother people?
It’s not that people don’t like honesty, it’s that people sometimes don’t realize that the truth can hurt (cliched, I know). But people are pampered into hearing exactly what they want to hear, so when someone expresses what they believe to be the “truth,” such as a person wearing too much cologne, they are upset by it. It’s not anything you are necessarily doing wrong, and not so much about people not wanting honesty, either. The fact of the matter is that people are just not used to hearing things like that personally (usually the things are still said, they are just said in gossip).
