Is Roy Walker dead?
Roy Walker is indeed dead. Not in the mortal sense however. His body is very much still alive, but it is said that his soul died when he left our TV screens as presenter of CatchPhrase. Roy dabbled briefly with setting up another quiz show with a similar format to the ITV show. As this was entirely self financed and filmed in Roy’s house it never made it to our screens. Roy had spent 3 years cutting out pieces of paper to cover hand drawn pictures. When a contestant answered a question correctly, he would pull off one of these pieces of paper. Contestants were hard to come by though, as Roy’s drawings depicted horrific scenes of rotting corpses and bondage. At this stage, Roy, like many celebrities, turned to the drink and it was now that his soul died. It is rumoured he sold his soul to Russ Abbott after a drunken poker game. Russ will neither confirm nor deny this.
