The easiest way to tweet is from your mobile phone on-the-go. Undoubtedly all twitter apps are not created equal on the android platform. Here are our picks for the top 3 (free or PRO, we don’t discriminate).

I have been using Twidroyd ever since I got my smart phone, and when Ubertwitter/Twidroyd was banned from twitter momentarily for a few days, I missed it so much. Nothing really compares to this twitter app for android. Twidroyd is one of the oldest apps for android out there, and it definitely brings quailty to the table. The menus are sleek, the sub-menus are easy to access, and there are more features than you probably know what to do with. It’s fast, it’s easy to use, there are plenty of options to keep you occupied.

This is the official app from twitter for android. It is definitely better than most "official apps" and the homescreen emulates twitter’s website. However, the feeds do not load automatically (which makes you backtrack to get to the same point) and it is a little bit harder to easily access the more obscure aspects of twitter (like lists, trends, etc.). Nonetheless, it is a very good app for video uploading and image uploading than most, and you can geo-tag locations. If you have multiple twitter accounts, you cannot manage it through this app.
But it is free!

Hootsuite is a little bit more difficult to use, but it is great for the twitter enthusiast who manages multiple twitter accounts at once. If you need to schedule a tweet or track clicks, Hootsuite is your app. It definitely is for a more social media savvy person. However, Hootsuite does not include video uploading, geo-tagging, lists, etc. The user experience is much less intuitive than the other apps, but if you know how to use it and its unique features on the web version, it will be easy for you to understand.
