What is LB 95?
LB 95 is a law passed in 1981 by the Nebraska Legislature that authorized the provision of commonly used medications for the treatment of mental illness and medications used to treat the common side effects of said medications for any indigent person having been committed for inpatient or outpatient mental health treatment. How do I apply for LB 95 benefits? A patient or guardian must complete the Affidavit Form (MH004), with signature and notarization, and return it to Lincoln Regional Center (LRC) or Norfolk Regional Center (NRC) Financial Responsibilities Office (LRC if the patient resides in Region 3 or 5, NRC if the patient resides in Region 1, 2, 4, or 6 – (please see the breakdown of Counties by Region).
