How does Chop Chop construct a song?
Chop Chop: The beat basically makes the song. The beat talks to me in a different sense. The beat is a story and a good artist can identify with it and ride with it. I’m not a big fan of freestyling because I like to construct everything and I’m a perfectionist. I get in the studio and let the beat talk to me for a little minute and it just comes out like water. A lot of my material comes up when I am in natural situations because I’m not really a big studio head. I just don’t live in the studio.
