How will survey vendors be paid?
MA and PDP contracts will contract directly with approved MA and PDP approved CAHPS survey vendors. Once CMS posts the list of approved survey vendors, the contracting process can begin. The approval CMS grants in September will be contingent on the vendor’s successful completion of training in November 2010. Vendors must have contracts in place by January 7, 2011 and be able to fully implement the 2011 MA & PDP CAHPS surveys according to the timeline established by CMS (preliminary information on the data collection timeline is available on the MA & PDP CAHPS Web site).
