How does Brighter Planet fight climate change?
We’re all part of the climate change problem, and we all need to be part of the solution. At Brighter Planet, we help people take responsibility for their emissions by giving them simple tools to understand, reduce, and offset their climate impact. Our three-pronged strategy educates people about the details of how their own lifestyles contribute to climate change, brings them together in conversations about ways to reduce those impacts, and helps them join others in building offset projects that reduce emissions, harness renewable energy, and support local communities. Climate change is a complex challenge that will require complex solutions. Brighter Planet takes a grassroots approach, focused on individual people and businesses—but this is just part of a broad, long-term climate solution that must combine social, economic, and political approaches on many levels.
