What is a PA scope of practice?
The scope of practice is defined by the Board approved delegation agreement. A physician assistant’s scope of practice is limited to acts: • Delegated by the primary or designated alternate supervising physician; • Appropriate to the physician assistant’s education, training and experience; • Customary to the practice of the primary or alternate supervising physician; and • Consistent with the delegation agreement submitted to the Board.
