A nevus sebaceous is generally a solitary hairless patch in the scalp. It often has an orange-peel tan-orange appearance. These lesions have a small risk of becoming cancerous in adulthood, and it is often recommended to have them removed before puberty. What are petichiae? Petechiae are small pinpoint dots of blood under the skin. They do not blanch or become pale when touched. Petechiae can be found after rubbing or trauma of the skin, or on the face after severe coughing episodes.
