Do atheists believe in the devil?
Atheists are agnostics by a different name. They “DO NOT BELIEVE” except in what they can SEE, TOUCH and lay their hands on. If these “Thomas’ do not see the wounds in Jesus Christ’s hands” then as far as they are concerned it is NOT TRUE. Science and technology seem to guide their every thought. However, I’d like to be a fly on the wall when a car is headed straight towards them with the end result being death. What will they say “Oh, MY GOD!” ???? I just wonder. I have been near agnostic and atheists and they CONVERT at the last second. My great uncle who as a avid atheists whispered to me on his dying bed “Nephew, I guess I will soon meet YOUR GOD. Do you think He will judge me well?”. Read the LINKs below for an interesting lesson or two. Full of bitter sorrow, Augustine flung himself out into the garden and cried out to God, “How long more, O Lord? Why does not this hour put an end to my sins?” Just then he heard a child singing, “Take up and read!” Thinking that God intended him
If you don’t believe in God, it isn’t likely you would believe there is an entity such as the devil. I think they believe in the concept of evil but not necessarily the devil. Some people who are atheists are filled with goodness and naturally live the kind of life Jesus taught us to have. Because they have such positive, humble, and caring spirits they would be more sensitive to the evil around them and want to avoid it.
