What Causes Tire Failure?
There’s been a lot of press attention recently to accidents supposedly caused by over-age tires, but some of these reports would have you think that many tire failures would be eliminated by creating regulations on how long a tire can be legally sold. The truth is that most tire failures, even of recently made tires, are caused by certain conditions which have nothing to do with age. Let’s review these.
