Local, State and Regional Breed Association and other Organizations as well as individuals are welcome to sponsor awards. These organizations set the criteria for the award and NEHT just records mileage. The sponsors must front a $25 deposit to guarantee the award and must commit to providing the award for at least two calendar years. The sponsor must provide NEHT with an award to be presented in April to the winner from the previous year. This award is usually a horse related item such as a halter, cooler or camp chair with a value of at least $25.
