Will lack of sleep affect muscle growth?
Yes my friend. The ONLY time your muscles grow are when your resting or sleeping. You should get at least 8-9 hours a day. 4-5 hours will reduce muscle growth and increase stress. Try and stop working out at night, as your energy levels are high and it is harder to fall asleep. Try reading while in bed as it will make your drowsy and you will fall asleep easier. I am a bodybuilder and i was hit with some insomnia and was awake until 2 every morning. Then i stopped working out so later in the day and now i fall asleep relatively easier.
