How big is an RTF file?
Each RTF document published on Wyre’s website should have a size displayed beside it. This will most often appear in brackets and is in kilobytes (kb) e.g. (23kb). This is a computer measurement for the size of a document or file. Without getting too technical: an average connection to the internet might transfer information at rates as slow as 5kb per second. Therefore, if you wanted to view an RTF document that was 100kb, it could take up to 20 seconds for it to appear on your screen – after your Word Processor itself has loaded. The larger the RTF document, the longer it will therefore take for something to appear on your screen. The golden rule is to be patient.
