What made Hotchkiss so special?
It was catchy shortcut name developed by a few students in fall 2008 to refer to the “top tier” schools, but not meant to exclude Choate, Lawrenceville, and others as well (ie Milton, Groton) — here’s an excerpt that explains more from an earlier post: Origin of HADES ——————————————————————————– Me thinks there is a bit of selective revisionism going on. “Hades” has not been evolving for years, nor was it formulated by educators or boarding school review, nor is it universally accepted by the BS community.
