Exhaust cut outs on 2001 ford ranger?
My friend and I are thinking about installing electric exhaust cut outs on our trucks. I have a 01 ford ranger. If this is placed after the catalytic converter would it work and is this the best placement? Or would the o2 sensor trip. Last time I had the exhaust off the o2 sensor prevented the truck from running. Also what tools would I need to install this? I don’t have a welder so I would need to have it welded correct? A: Man, I have had 3 of these trucks and they are bad a$$ and last forever. Dont put one of those on. If you are looking to get more power out of it, trust me, do a chip. I had one on my ’02 ranger and I ran a 15.9 in the quarter. That was from a 17.2 the week before. Also do a cold air intake if not already.
