What is Operation Shoe Box?
Operation Shoe Box sends a message of hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes to reach them at Christmas. This program provides an opportunity for individuals of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on project that reaches out to suffering children. In 2007, over 7.6 million shoe boxes were collected worldwide and distributed to children in about 105 countries. Your Gift Boxes will be forwarded to the Australian Co-ordinators, Samaritans Purse Aust. Ltd (Blacktown). This international humanitarian organisation takes its name and operate on the principle in the “Parable of the Good Samaritan” – love and help those who are in need, irrespective of race or creed.
