Not necessarily. Powdercoating does look nice and on certain high-wear items, such as lug nuts, it tends to be more durable. However, do you really have the time and money to get your tires removed, find a powdercoater with an oven large enough for wheels, fork over $50 – $100 per wheel for just the powdercoating, and then get your tires re-mounted?
