What does AAA and CMLL stand for?
EMLL stands for Empresa Mexicana de la Lucha Libre, which translates into the Mexican Wrestling Enterprise. CMLL stands for Consejo Mundial de la Lucha Libre, which means World Wrestling Board. This is not the fed name. This is the commision’s name that rules over the fed. The fed is called EMLL – Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre. Basically, CMLL is the parent company which oversees EMLL, much like Titan Sports and the WWF. AAA stands for El Asistencia Asesoria Administracion, which translates into the Administration Consultants Presence. AAA is also known as PAPSA, which stands for Promociones Antonio Pena Sociedad Anonima. That translates into Antonio Pena Promotions Ltd.
