Is Cohort study better?
I like cohort study. In response to 2n222, it would depend on the school. If the school is a ‘pump and dump’ then I could see that. However, I think the top schools are not like that. The requirements and standards are higher, the accreditations MUCH stricter, costs can be higher, and the quality of student may be more dedicated. I am doing my MBA online, in a dual degree with a second Master’s. The school is a public school, and the highest ranked school with an online option. I looked at dozens of schools. I wanted real schools with the highest accreditation (AACSB is the gold standard for business schools). I narrowed my search down to a final four schools: Indiana (Kelley), Massachussets-Amherst (Isenberg), Colorado State, and Lehigh. I applied to the first three and was accepted to each. I chose to attend Indiana. It is not a cohort, though it is called that. The first term everyone takes basically the same courses, if they are on the same pace as the ‘standard,’ which is about 20
