Why is Ramadan Important?
The festival of Ramadan celebrates the time when Muhammad the Prophet received the first revelation of the Qur’an from the angel Gabriel. This happened on the 27th of Ramadan — the Night of Power. Muhammad himself spoke about the angels coming down and calling blessings on all those who remember Allah, the Great and Glorious. His wife noticed that on that night Muhammad prayed with harder concentration and deeper feelings than at any other time. What happens during Ramadan?
