How Do You Make Easter Egg Cakes?
These Easter egg cakes are fun to make with your little bunnies! If you have made cake balls, you can make these. These are great to bring for Easter dinner at your family’s house or to enjoy at home. Start my baking your cake according to the directions and letting it cool completely. Crumble the cake into a large mixing bowl. Add a can of frosting and mix the entire contents together. Take a small amount of the cake mixture and roll it into an egg shape instead of a round ball. Place each one onto a wax paper lined cookie sheet or pan and place into the refrigerator or freezer for a few hours. Melt your almond bark or any other candy coating you have on hand. You can either use chocolate or vanilla. Coat the Easter egg cakes with the melted bark. You can add sprinkles to the cakes in festive spring colors or use a tube of frosting to decorate you eggs.
