How Do You Change Gears On A Dirtbike?
Before you get on your new dirtbike, the first thing you need to know is how to change gears. This is not as difficult as it may seem. If you’ve ever driven a car with a manual transmission then you already know how to change gears. The clutch is located on the left grip on your handlebars and the shifting lever is a little metal bar that sticks out of the side of the dirtbike. This is usually located next to your left toes. Hold in the clutch on the bike. This must be done every time you want to change gears on your dirtbike. Using your toes and with the clutch held in, tap down on the shifting lever until you can not shift down any more. Tap the shifting lever up from the bottom with your toes and with the clutch still held in. This will shift you into neutral. Start the bike. This usually will be a push button, but some use a turn key ignition. This depends on the bike that you have. Shift the bike into first gear. To do this you need to hold the clutch in and tap the shift lever do
