Should A Woman Be Put on A Pedestal?
A Peculiar Pedestal Should a man put a woman on a pedestal? Should a man breathe? A pedestal is like a statue. It’s not real. If it falls it can crack and break into many pieces. People don’t want to be put on pedestals. Most of the time we don’t feel worthy or we are afraid we will fall. No one is worthy of being put on a pedestal. Grace is described as unmerited favor – something we don’t deserve but we get anyway. A man should lift up the goodness in a woman to view God’s gifts in her. He created the woman for something bigger than the pedestal that she stands on. Something bigger than you or I can see. The purpose for putting someone on a pedestal is to propel them into the glory of what God created them for. A Peculiar Pedestal is different from the physical pedestal that holds statues. You can fall from a lofty height but you can’t crack. If the woman falls, the man should catch her. If the man let’s her down and drops his responsibility as men sometimes do, Jesus will never let
