What is a persuasive essay?
It has been reported that a persuasive essay or paper is also known as the argument essay, which utilizes logic and reason to show that one idea is more legitimate than another idea ( 2006). This paper attempts to persuade a reader to adopt a certain point of view or to take a particular action. The argument must always use sound reasoning and give solid evidence by stating facts, logical reasons, using examples and quoting experts. In persuasive writing, you must take a position FOR or AGAINST an issue and write to convince the reader to believe or do something (2006). In addition, it is often used in advertisements to get the reader to buy a product, and is used in essays and other types of writing to get the reader to accept a point of view.
