When I am in the GPS distances screen, sometimes I see a “!” at the bottom of the screen along with some numbers “nn” next to the satellite icon. What do these items mean?

The numbers (e.g. 11) at the bottom of the GPS distances screen, next to the satellite icon, shows the number of satellites that IntelliGolf is receiving signals from via your handheld/smartphone or GPS receiver. The higher the better :-). The “!” appears when IntelliGolf senses that the accuracy provided by the GPS “chip” in your handheld/smartphone/receiver is outside (greater than) 10 yards/meters. This is a caution signal to let you know that the accuracy of the GPS distances being provided to IntelliGolf by the GPS chip in your device may be outside of one (1) club length (i.e. > 10 yards/meters). However, some of the new handhelds/smartphone include AGPS (Assisted GPS) capabilities. This feature helps to increase the device’s “actual accuracy” by utilizing your local cell tower network.
