In his controversial address on the 26th November 1988 in Lagos during the launching of the retired major-general and former Nigeria ’s permanent representative to the United Nations (UN), Joe Garba’s book, Diplomatic Soldiering, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was his critical best. He availed himself of the presence of the eminent personalities on the occasion to call for the release of the former head of state General Muhammadu Buhari and his deputy, late Tunde Idiagbon from detention.
