What is Capacitor?
Introduction Today, we allknow that electrical appliances use in our homes are not for luxury but theyare nowadays become necessity for the human race. All the electrical appliancesare made up of certain electrical circuits in which they need some input and asa result they provide you some output. The electrical circuits are mainlycomprised of electrical components i.e. Resistors(R), Inductors (L) and Capacitors(C).The combination of any electrical circuit composed of these three components isgenerally known as RLC (Resistor, Inductor and Capacitor) Circuit. In thisarticle we will discuss about the capacitor and its combination in theseelectrical circuits. Capacitor Capacitor is a devicefor storing charge. A simple capacitor consists of two conducting platesseparated by some insulator (Wood, plastic etc) or dielectric. The chargestored in a capacitor is directly proportional to the voltage applied acrossthe two plates of capacitor i.e. Q ∝V Where ‘Q’ ischarge and ‘V’ is voltage. Furthe
