Strict Routing v/s Loose Routing?

0

Strict Routing: As per RFC 2543, intermediate proxy(ies) rewrites the request-uri with the next hop URI details before forwarding the request to the next hop. This results in the original request-uri in getting lost. Loose Routing: RFC 3261 stopped intermediate proxies from rewriting request-uri. Now the request would always contain the request-uri which was originally sent by the originator UAC. The routing now works by using the top-most route header field (if there is any).
