Keep writing scripts. Go to college and get maybe double major in English and in film production or film theory. The English major is *not* required, but knowledge of the film industry would be greatly beneficial to you. Eventually, you’ll want to get a manager who will send your scripts out for review. They tend to come back with notes and recommended changes. If one gets picked up, then you’re in. Meanwhile, you’ll have to have a day job. No joke. The lucky ones sell their scripts right of the bat and then continue working for a while, maybe eventually negotiating a directing gig for one of their works. Why not?
