Is corporal punishment still allow?
Depends on which state. Just under half of all US states, mainly in the south (Texas, Alabama, etc) still allow paddling in state schools given parental permission. Elsewhere it’s banned. Within the family, it’s still up for debate how legal it is for parents to spank their kids. A lot depends on local authorities and how they react to allegations of ‘abuse’. The general consensus seems to be that you can still spank your kids until they come of age (18 in some states, 16 in others) so long as you don’t use ‘brutality’ or ‘excessive force’. But of course terms like those are wide open to interpretation.
