yes, but theres a catch – you need a new operating system called linux – when you get linux youcan install it onto your ps3 by going to settings > system settings > install other os follow the onscreen instructions that will follow after you install linux you can play java enabled games on your playstation 3 on the other hand you can wait possibly for a future update which will include the software to play java material – so far through updates weve got flash (for viewing videos online), folding at home and various others which i cant honestly think of at this moment it could be a long shot but it might come as an update sometime soon but if you want it available to use now install linux
