How Do You Sew A Memory Quilt?
If you have basic sewing skills, you can make a memory quilt to give as a gift in observance of a specific time in someone’s life or to record a lifetime of events. You can use t-shirts from concerts or sporting events, family pictures or scraps of fabric from your child’s youth. Be creative and have fun making a memory for yourself or someone else. Choose the memory that you want to make into a quilt and collect the necessary components. Transfer favorite photos to fabric, have friends or loved ones make a special quilt block to commemorate a wedding or child’s birth, transfer a child’s drawings to fabric, or make a variety of different quilt squares from special clothes that your children wore when they were young.
