Others may be fitted to the top of a chair so you have a sitz bath and chair in one. An alternative to a sitz bath is simply a large tub but its advisable to purchase a purpose made bath. You can often get away with using a large dish tub, but f you are overweight make sure you purchase and adequately sized tub. Hygiene is an important factor when using a sitz bath.
